en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 3, the "Nuclear Fusion in Haiyan, Smart Innovation for the Future" — CNNC & Haiyan "Nuclear+" Industry Matchmaking Conference, hosted by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and organized by Qinshan Nuclear Power and Haiyan County People's Government, was successfully held in Haiyan. The conference brought together academicians, experts, industry organizations, leading central state-owned enterprises, and local government and business representatives. Focusing on two major directions — "Nuclear + Computing Power" and the isotope industry — the event established a professional exchange platform for government-enterprise collaboration, inter-enterprise communication, technology sharing, and achievement transformation, helping Haiyan and CNNC achieve high-quality development together and writing a new chapter in central-local coordinated development.
Xu Wenguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor; Xu Xiaoyue, Deputy Secretary of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Huang Ping, Secretary-General of the China Atomic Energy Authority; and Zhang Tao, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CNNC, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Hu Shilin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave a keynote report. Wang Mingkui, Deputy Director of the Planning and Development Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, also attended the conference.
In his speech, Zhang Tao stated that 41 years ago, Qinshan Nuclear Power broke ground in Haiyan, marking the starting point of China's nuclear power industry. Qinshan Nuclear Power and Haiyan County have become a model for central-local government-enterprise cooperation and integrated industrial-city development. Currently, as the national "dual carbon" goals are being deeply implemented and new quality productive forces are being rapidly cultivated, Zhejiang Province is intensifying the implementation of the "415X" advanced manufacturing cluster cultivation project. CNNC is anchoring its layout across the entire nuclear industry chain, which is highly aligned with local development directions and offers deep complementary advantages, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of business models such as "Nuclear + Computing Power" and "Nuclear + Isotopes." Looking ahead, CNNC will target new tracks in the digital industry to forge a new engine for green computing power; strengthen the independent development of isotopes to seize strategic high ground in nuclear technology applications; and coordinate the synergy between manufacturing and service industries to jointly build a hub for integrated nuclear energy industry development.
At the conference, Academician Hu Shilin delivered a keynote report on "Comprehensive Utilization of Advanced Heavy Water Reactors," interpreting the core value of heavy water reactor technology in isotope preparation and nuclear medical applications. The principal representative of Qinshan Nuclear Power introduced the Zhejiang Province Isotope Innovation Consortium, led by Qinshan Nuclear Power. The principal representative of China Isotope & Radiation Corporation promoted CNNC's integrated nuclear medical solutions at the conference. The principal representative of CNNC Huahui introduced the new paradigm of "Nuclear + Computing Power." Haiyan County Party Secretary Gu Qiuli promoted the nuclear power-related and nuclear technology application industries.
During the conference, CNNC and Haiyan County signed landmark cooperation projects and showcased the latest collaborative achievements in areas such as nuclear technology applications, the computing power industry, nuclear medicine, and nuclear-related service industries. The conference also featured three specialized matchmaking sessions for the isotope industry and nuclear medicine, nuclear power-related manufacturing, and nuclear power-related services, precisely matching supply and demand needs along the industrial chain. This made cooperation more efficient and industrial integration deeper, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Haiyan's nuclear energy industry.

In recent years, CNNC has fully leveraged its leading role as the "chain leader" in the nuclear technology application industry chain, joining hands with Haiyan to anchor the development direction of new quality productive forces. Relying on the Zhejiang Province Isotope Innovation Consortium — led by Qinshan Nuclear Power and involving universities, hospitals, and industrial chain enterprises — and leveraging the nation's unique commercial heavy water reactor irradiation resources, the research capabilities of top-tier scientific research institutes, and the market transformation capabilities of nuclear pharmaceutical companies, a full-chain collaborative innovation system of "isotope supply — molecular module R&D — preclinical evaluation — clinical translation" has been established. Breakthrough achievements have been made, including the large-scale production and market supply of key varieties such as Lutetium-177 and Carbon-14, as well as the export of Carbon-14. Efforts have been concentrated on cultivating the nation's first isotope production technology brand, "Hefu No. 1," injecting brand-driven momentum into the high-quality development of the isotope industry. On this basis, CNNC is working with Haiyan to advance the construction of a 1,900-mu isotope industrial park to high standards, with 31 key projects already underway. As the consortium continues to release synergistic effects, the central-local cooperation between CNNC and Haiyan will deepen further, helping Haiyan build a nationally leading hub for nuclear technology application industries during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, jointly contributing "nuclear" strength to the high-quality development of China's nuclear medicine sector and regional economy.
