en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Northeast Basin Branch of Russian port operator Rosmorport has taken delivery of a new hydrographic survey vessel named Azimut. Built by Timax Shipyard in the Kirov region, the vessel will be deployed for hydrographic survey operations in waters near the port of Magadan.
Azimut belongs to the "Taktika 600K" project, featuring an aluminum-magnesium alloy single-deck structure with a length of 5.9 meters, a beam of 2.2 meters, and a draft of 0.25 meters. The main propulsion system consists of a 95.6 kW outboard engine, supplemented by a 7.2 kW emergency outboard engine for use in urgent situations. The vessel can reach speeds of up to 20 knots, accommodate up to five professionals, and has a maximum load capacity of 950 kilograms.
The hydrographic survey vessel can be equipped with mobile automated survey systems, including single-beam and multi-beam echo sounders and chart plotters, for conducting precision hydrographic surveys. Using a dedicated trailer, the hydrographic survey vessel can be launched and recovered on unprepared natural slopes.
Azimut is the third navigation support vessel received by the Northeast Basin Branch and the 18th hydrographic survey vessel in its fleet. Its sister ship is currently performing similar hydrographic survey tasks in waters near the port of Okhotsk.
