Wedoany.com Report-May 23, Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) and Acme Solar have recently enhanced their solar energy portfolios by activating new photovoltaic (PV) projects in India, contributing to the country’s renewable energy growth.
AGEL has brought online an additional 187.5 MW of solar capacity at its Khavda site in Gujarat through its subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd. This development increases AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity to 14,528.4 MW, reinforcing its position as a key player in India’s clean energy sector.
In a parallel effort, Acme Solar has commissioned 112.5 MW of its 300 MW Sikar PV project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This follows the activation of 52.5 MW in early May 2025, bringing the project’s operational capacity to 165 MW. The remaining capacity is currently under commissioning. With this milestone, Acme Solar’s total operational capacity has risen from 2,592.5 MW to 2,705 MW. Once fully operational, the Sikar project is expected to produce 780 million units of clean energy annually, which will be sold on merchant power exchanges for optimized commercial distribution.
Both companies are advancing India’s renewable energy goals through these expansions. AGEL’s Khavda project strengthens its large-scale solar infrastructure in Gujarat, while Acme Solar’s Sikar project enhances clean energy access in Rajasthan. These efforts align with the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in India.
