Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 6, China has completed the installation of the CB20 module at the third unit of the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant in Haiyang, Shandong Province. This step finalizes the major module installations, advancing the project toward operational readiness.

The government announced: “The CB20 module was successfully lifted and positioned, marking the completion of all major module installations for the 3rd unit of the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant and the start of the equipment installation and commissioning phase.” This phase focuses on integrating and testing systems to ensure safety and efficiency.

Capable of storing over 3,000 tonnes of water, the CB20 module supports reactor cooling and the used fuel pool, enhancing safety. The Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant, located in Shandong, contributes to China’s clean energy goals. This milestone reflects precise engineering and sets the stage for the unit’s role in sustainable energy production.
