GRS Completes 99MWh Foresight Battery in Scotland

Wedoany.com Report-Sept. 23, GRS has completed the 49 MW/98 MWh Glendevon stand-alone battery project in Scotland for investor Foresight. The Spanish engineering and construction company confirmed that the installation is finished and pending energisation. GRS will also provide operations and maintenance for at least the first two years.

Foresight made the investment through its flagship Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners fund. The project is expected to help manage peak electricity demand, support grid regulation, and contribute to the UK’s net-zero energy goals.

GRS delivered engineering, design, construction, and commissioning services, drawing on the experience of its parent group, Gransolar, which currently operates 126 plants worldwide.
