Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 17, TSMC is projected to approach NT$1 trillion (US$32 billion) in AI-related revenue in 2025, supported by strong orders from Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom. According to analysts cited by UDN, AI business is expected to account for 23–28% of TSMC’s total revenue this year. The company’s AI portfolio includes GPUs and ASICs for data centers as well as processors designed for AI edge computing devices.

Demand for advanced semiconductor processes remains high, with clients continuing to reserve capacity below 3 nm. Analysts noted that the accelerating global competition in AI technology has made early capacity reservation a strategic requirement for major companies. This trend ensures that TSMC maintains clear order visibility through 2028.

TSMC Chair and CEO C.C. Wei (魏哲家) said during an earnings call that server AI processor revenue could account for more than 20% of the company’s total revenue by 2028. He added that TSMC currently serves more than 500 clients, and many AI projects require development timelines of two to three years due to their complexity.

The company’s 2 nm process has entered mass production according to schedule. As semiconductor manufacturing generally becomes more advanced with smaller process nodes, TSMC expects rapid growth in the adoption of 2 nm technology starting next year. This increase will be driven by smartphones, high-performance computing, and a wide range of AI applications.

Analysts pointed out that TSMC holds a strong position in the global AI chip market due to its technological advantage in advanced processes and its extensive customer base. They stated that the company’s ability to supply both high-performance and energy-efficient chips provides competitive strength across multiple AI-related sectors, including cloud computing and edge devices.

TSMC’s sustained investments in next-generation process technologies and continued capacity expansion support long-term growth across its AI business. The combination of pre-booked demand, widespread adoption of advanced nodes, and consistent interest from major technology companies strengthens the company’s overall revenue outlook for the coming years.
