PVV Infra to Set Up 1 GW N-Type TOPCon Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility in India

Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 20, PVV Infra Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board to establish a 1 GW n-type TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves an investment of approximately INR 650 crore (USD 73.4 million).

The new plant will occupy a 30-acre site within an expanding solar manufacturing cluster in the region. Once operational, it is projected to generate 350 direct employment opportunities and more than 450 indirect jobs, supporting local economic development and workforce training.

PVV Infra will apply its expertise in project investment, technology selection, planning, design, and equipment procurement to develop and commission the advanced TOPCon production line.

The company operates across multiple infrastructure sectors, offering engineering, design, planning, and execution services. Its activities include the development, construction, ownership, operation, and transfer of power generation projects, as well as the building of residential complexes, industrial parks, commercial centers, multiplexes, shopping facilities, and township developments.

The Visakhapatnam facility will strengthen domestic solar cell production capacity and contribute to the growth of India’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem. The agreement reflects continued investment interest in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial and clean-energy sectors.
