Hydroelectric generating units
Hydroelectric generating units are the core equipment in hydropower stations for converting water energy into electricity. They usually consist of turbines, generators, governor systems, excitation systems, cooling systems, monitoring and protection systems, and auxiliary equipment. They cover Francis, Kaplan, impulse, and tubular hydro-generating units, as well as unit design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance, condition monitoring, and efficiency improvement. With the development of clean energy, renovation of aging hydropower stations, and construction of intelligent hydropower stations, hydroelectric generating units are moving toward higher efficiency, higher reliability, intelligence, and longer service life.
