Wedoany.com Report on Mar 2nd, Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd., Jinhua Branch is advancing a green and safety upgrading project for its hydrogen peroxide production line, aiming to phase out the original acid-base alternating fixed-bed production process, which has been officially phased out by the state. The upgrade plan adopts the more advanced fully acidic fluidized bed technology to enhance production efficiency and environmental standards.
As part of the green and safety upgrading project for the hydrogen peroxide production line at Hubei Sanning Chemical, the company will dismantle approximately 170 pieces of old equipment, including hydrogenation towers and oxidation towers, and purchase over 190 new sets of equipment, such as hydrogen circulation compressors and coolers. The production process covers key steps including working fluid preparation, hydrogenation, oxidation, and extraction purification.
The hydrogen required for the project will be supplied by Sanning Shibaoshan Company via pipeline, with a continuous consumption rate of 35,062 cubic meters per hour, amounting to an annual consumption of 280 million cubic meters. After the upgrade, hydrogenation efficiency will improve, hydrogen consumption will decrease, and the existing supply can meet the demand for producing 150,000 tons per year of 27.5% hydrogen peroxide. All of this hydrogen peroxide will be used for the production of 100,000 tons per year of caprolactam within the plant area.
The green and safety upgrading project for the hydrogen peroxide production line at Hubei Sanning Chemical is located within the company's existing plant area, with a total investment of 275 million yuan. Upon completion of the project, the original hydrogen peroxide unit will be dismantled. In January 2026, the Yichang Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau publicized the project's environmental impact assessment report to solicit public opinions.
