BYD will unveil its new-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology in Shenzhen, China at 7 PM on March 5th, launching multiple new vehicle models featuring this technology. Individuals who have previewed it suggest this could bring significant changes to the electric vehicle sector.
The launch event will showcase ten vehicle models, including the Yangwang brand's U7, U8, and U8L; the Fang Cheng Bao brand's Ti3 and Ti7; the Denza brand's Z9 and Z9GT; and the BYD brand's Seal 07, Sea Lion 06, and Song Ultra. Some models are large, high-end vehicles offering over 1000 horsepower and a range exceeding 1000 kilometers, while the electric versions of the Ti3 and Ti7 are positioned at more affordable price points. The Sea Lion 06, Song Ultra, and Seal 07 are expected to be the main sales drivers.
Among these models, some are equipped with a new 240-kilowatt motor and are expected to feature the new-generation battery and flash charging platform, aiming to reduce weight, enhance power, and extend range. The event may also reveal the new Tang model, the Seal 08, and the production version of the Denza Z.
Many also anticipate seeing the production version of the variable flux motor and updated intelligent driving technology. The launch of BYD's new-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology aims to improve the performance and efficiency of electric vehicles, with potential range exceeding many fuel-powered cars, shorter charging times, and more competitive pricing.
This launch may explain BYD's recent sales decline in China, as they have been clearing old inventory and updating production lines. The new-generation technology could advance the electric vehicle market and accelerate the global transition. As the banner states: "China's Flash Charging, Changing the World."
