en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 25th, Lockheed Martin has announced a collaboration with Polish aerospace company WZL-1, aimed at providing localized sensor maintenance and technical support for Poland's AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. This cooperation will cover key systems such as the Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (TADS/PNVS) and the Longbow fire control radar.

Lockheed Martin is responsible for manufacturing the TADS/PNVS for the AH-64E Apache helicopter and participates in the Longbow radar program. Leveraging its expertise in sensor technology, this collaboration will assist WZL-1's technical team at its new facility in Łódź in enhancing their maintenance capabilities.
According to the agreement, Lockheed Martin will provide training and resource support to WZL-1, ensuring that Poland can independently operate and maintain the sensor systems after receiving the AH-64E Apache helicopters. This initiative will help Poland strengthen its self-sufficiency in maintenance and reduce external dependencies.
In November 2025, Boeing secured sales orders to supply AH-64E Apache helicopters to Poland, Kuwait, and Egypt. Poland is set to receive 96 of these helicopters, with deliveries expected to commence progressively from 2028, replacing its current fleet of 29 Mi-24 helicopters.
This collaboration between Lockheed Martin and WZL-1 marks a significant step for Poland in enhancing its AH-64E Apache helicopter capabilities, bolstering autonomy through localized support. As sensor technology cooperation deepens, Poland's modernization efforts will be further advanced.
