en.Wedoany.com Reported - India's Advait Energy Transitions and Norway's TECO Fuel Cell Technology AS signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the third India-Nordic Summit in Oslo, planning to locally manufacture hydrogen fuel cells in India. The agreement was signed by Shalin Sheth, Founder and Managing Director of Advait Energy Transitions, and Tore Enger, Executive Chairman of TECO Maritime Group and CEO of TECO Fuel Cell Technology AS, witnessed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Under the cooperation framework, TECO Fuel Cell Technology and Austria's AVL List GmbH will introduce their jointly developed 400 kW hydrogen fuel cell module and 100 kW fuel cell stack to India for localized manufacturing, adaptation, and deployment. This modular technology is scalable and can be configured into multi-megawatt systems.

The cooperation will be phased across multiple application areas: stationary power (including data centers, starting Q1 2027), heavy-duty transport and mobility (starting Q1 2028), and maritime applications (throughout 2028). The project is expected to create at least 200 skilled jobs in engineering, production, system integration, and project execution by 2032.

The MoU supports India's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
