en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian company Riversgold Ltd has received initial rock sample assay results from partner AIS Resources for the Saint John antimony, gold, copper, and silver project in New Brunswick, Canada. Riversgold retains 100% ownership of the project, while AIS can earn up to a 75% interest by spending C$4.4 million over four years. Riversgold will retain a 25% free-carried interest until a production decision is made.
The results released today are from 24 grab and chip rock samples submitted to Actlabs, as part of AIS's due diligence and early-stage exploration work to confirm historical results and identify new prospects.
Sampling at multiple targets, including Prince William, Le Preau, and Scott Falls Dam, returned high-grade values of copper, gold, silver, cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, lead, and antimony.
"We are encouraged by the initial assay results from our partner AIS at Saint John, New Brunswick. We retain 100% of the project, and AIS can earn up to a 75% interest by spending C$4.4 million over four years. Riversgold will retain a 25% free-carried interest until a production decision is made," said David Lenigas, Chairman of Riversgold.

"This is AIS's first field work, which again confirms high-grade values of copper, gold, silver, antimony, and associated critical minerals in selected surface samples from multiple targets. The results support the need for continued systematic exploration, including mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling, geophysical interpretation, and target generation. We look forward to receiving over-limit assay results."
Copper, gold, and silver were particularly notable, with six samples returning copper values above the initial upper detection limit of 10,000 ppm, equivalent to copper grades exceeding 1%. At Le Preau, two samples returned gold values above 5,000 ppb, equivalent to gold grades exceeding 5 g/t. Silver results ranged from 0.02 ppm to over 100 ppm, with four samples exceeding the limit: one from Prince William and three from Le Preau.

Antimony and critical minerals added significance, with antimony results ranging from 2 ppm to over 500 ppm, and six samples exceeding the limit, including one from Prince William, four from Le Preau, and one from Scott Falls Dam. Lead values ranged from 2.2 ppm to over 5,000 ppm, with three samples exceeding the limit. Molybdenum results ranged from 0.91 ppm to 3,070 ppm, with three Le Preau samples recording higher concentrations; rhenium values reached up to 5.23 ppm, and cobalt up to 1,180 ppm.
The results support a broader exploration model. Riversgold stated that the initial results indicate multi-element mineralization within multiple targets at the Saint John project. The project is considered prospective for IOCG-type, intrusion-related, magmatic copper-gold, and structurally controlled copper-silver-gold mineralization, but further work is required to confirm the controls, continuity, and economic significance of the mineralization.

Next steps include AIS continuing ground prospecting, geological mapping, and sampling, with new batches of samples submitted to the laboratory on a regular basis. Over-limit samples will be re-analyzed using appropriate laboratory methods. Results will be integrated with historical and current geophysical survey data to support target generation for an upcoming drilling program, for which a local drilling contractor has been engaged. Further planned work includes ongoing sampling, trenching, geochemical sampling, geophysical programs, and the first drilling program approved by the New Brunswick Department of Mines.
