Core Lithium Managing Director Paul Brown said this second lithium fines sale further strengthens the company's liquidity position as Finniss operations ramp up. In 2026, approximately $28.5 million has been generated through sales of Finniss lithium stockpiles.

Core has entered into a binding agreement with Glencore to sell 25,000 tonnes of lithium fines from existing Finniss stockpiles. This follows a previously announced sale of 20,000 tonnes of lithium fines in April. The latest shipment is expected to depart from Darwin Port this month, with a sale price of approximately $270 per tonne on a cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) basis, subject to customary adjustments.

The agreement allows Core to generate additional cash from existing stockpiles while mining and development work at Finniss continues.

Mining is underway at the Grants open pit, located within the Finniss lithium field approximately 90 kilometers south of Darwin, while development work continues at the nearby BP33 underground project. Pit remediation work is ongoing at BP33, with preparations for portal development nearing completion, followed by underground decline development expected to commence in July. Core is advancing plans to return the operation to production.

Brown said this additional liquidity provides Core with greater financial flexibility as the company progresses mining activities, BP33 development work, and the restart of processing operations. Core will continue to assess opportunities to realize further value from remaining lithium fines stockpiles.

The latest transaction follows a series of stockpile sales completed this year as Core works to establish Finniss as a long-life lithium operation.
