en.Wedoany.com Reported - Russia's oil and gas tax revenue in June reached 683.6 billion rubles (approximately $8.84 billion), up from 678.9 billion rubles in May, a year-on-year increase of 38%, mainly driven by the rise in international oil prices triggered by the "Iran war." This type of revenue accounts for about one-fifth of Russia's total budget.

However, oil prices have fallen since the United States and Iran reached a preliminary "peace" agreement last month. According to trader data and calculations, the price of Urals crude oil shipped from Russia's western ports this week has fallen about 60% from its peak in March.

In the first six months of this year, Russia's cumulative oil and gas tax revenue was 3.66 trillion rubles, down 22.7% from the same period in 2025. Federal budget oil and gas revenue fell 24% last year to 8.48 trillion rubles, the lowest level since 2020.

Russia's 2026 budget projects oil revenue at 8.92 trillion rubles. Total budget revenue for this year is estimated at 40.283 trillion rubles.
