en.Wedoany.com Reported - Wave has announced the launch of Water Efficiency Services (WES), a new neutral delivery brand designed to assist wholesalers, retailers, and third-party intermediaries in implementing actionable water-saving plans across the UK.

This new brand extends Wave's water efficiency expertise from the non-household retail market to a broader scope, providing professional support to organizations seeking to reduce water consumption, enhance resilience, and meet regulatory targets. The launch comes as the UK faces growing pressure on water resources, with projections indicating an additional 5 billion liters of water needed daily by 2055.

The government requires water companies to reduce leakage by 30% by March 2032 and cut non-household water consumption by 9% by 2038. To achieve these targets, retailers, wholesalers, and delivery partners need to strengthen collaboration. WES will act as a neutral delivery partner, helping organizations engage with customers and execute programs that deliver measurable water savings. Its services include leakage support, on-site water efficiency audits, data collection, and customized water-saving initiatives for household and business customers.

One of the first initiatives delivered through WES is the Big Blue Eco Booster program. Originally launched by Wave in partnership with SaveMoneyCutCarbon and Northumbrian Water in 2025, the program has already gained support from five additional wholesalers and helped 169 schools identify hidden leaks, inefficient fixtures, and excessive water usage. With the launch of WES, the program can now be delivered to schools supplied by other water retailers, expanding its potential impact across the UK.

Oli Shelley, Director of Water Efficiency Services, stated that the UK needs enhanced collaboration to address future water scarcity. He noted that water scarcity is a real challenge for the UK, and achieving goals to reduce water waste and consumption requires more support; organizations need to engage with customers, identify improvement opportunities, and drive meaningful change on the ground. He added that Water Efficiency Services was established to provide organizations with practical programs to reduce waste, save water, and enhance long-term resilience, while operating as a neutral partner within the industry.

Wave previously supported commercial customers in England's competitive water retail market through proactive water management services. The introduction of Water Efficiency Services broadens this capability, enabling the organization to collaborate with wholesalers, retailers, and third-party entities across the wider water sector.
