Yuan Gang, Secretary of the Jinshan District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Gao Ju, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Shanghai Communications Administration, jointly unveiled the plaque for the district office. Yang Yuanfei, Deputy Secretary of the Jinshan District Committee and Acting District Mayor, presided over the inauguration ceremony. Tan Ling, Member of the Party Leadership Group, Head of the Discipline Inspection Team, and Second-Level Inspector of the Shanghai Communications Administration; Tong Haipeng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Tower; and Guo Jianli, Deputy District Mayor of Jinshan, attended the event.

This inauguration is a key measure for the district to enhance the quality and efficiency of new digital infrastructure, and to promote the deep integration of the information and communication industry with the real economy, urban governance, and public services. It will inject new digital momentum into the development of the Shanghai Bay Area and the regional north-south transformation. As the executive deputy director unit of the district communications management office, Shanghai Tower has been fully involved in the coordinated construction and operational support of the district's communication infrastructure. Currently, the district has built 1,313 physical macro base stations, completed signal upgrades in 119 underground garages, and deployed 35 battery swap stations for new employment groups. At the same time, Shanghai Tower has fully ensured network coverage for key projects and transportation/tourism scenarios such as the LEGOLAND Resort, Jinshan Railway, and City Beach. It has also simultaneously advanced the construction of 10-gigabit optical networks and the remediation of overhead cables. Leveraging high-point tower station resources, it has established a full-area IoT sensing network to support applications in ecological monitoring, flood control emergency response, and smart parks, continuously strengthening the regional digital foundation.

In the next step, Shanghai Tower will implement the work deployments for the digital economy at all levels, coordinate with the district communications management office for unified scheduling, and collaborate with various telecom enterprises to overcome construction bottlenecks. The work will focus on the "Two Districts, One Fortress" positioning, optimizing the layout of 5G and dual-gigabit networks to cover key areas such as the Science and Innovation City and Carbon Valley Green Bay. It will also leverage the advantages of the full-area tower sites to empower urban governance and industrial digitalization, expanding 5G+ industrial internet applications. Shanghai Tower will continue to advance livelihood projects such as signal optimization in residential communities and rural digital construction, while firmly upholding the bottom line of communication security, benefiting the public with solid communication services.

Under the guidance of the Shanghai Communications Administration, the Jinshan District Committee, and the District Government, Shanghai Tower will collaborate with various basic telecom enterprises to actively fulfill the responsibilities of the district communications management office. Based on the main line of Jinshan's north-south transformation and development, it will proactively engage in core tasks such as improving regional digital infrastructure quality, implementing key projects, and advancing urban digital governance, precisely meeting the integrated development needs of Jinshan's advanced manufacturing and digital service industries.
