en.Wedoany.com Reported - PKR Offshore, a division of Singapore-based shipping company Marco Polo Marine, has signed a multi-year framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy to provide two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) for offshore wind project support in the Asia-Pacific region.

The initial term of the agreement is two years, commencing in 2029, with the possibility of early execution in 2028, and includes options for one- to three-year extensions. The agreement covers Siemens Gamesa's projects in Taiwan on a non-exclusive basis, while both parties are also considering operations in South Korea and Japan. The two CSOVs will be equipped with Siemens Energy's BlueDrive PlusC hybrid propulsion system, designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
Marco Polo Marine currently has one CSOV, the "MP Wind Archer," already in operation, which began its first charter in Taiwan in April 2025. A second vessel is under construction at the company's shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, with delivery planned for the second quarter of 2028; a third vessel remains in the planning stage.
Sean Lee, CEO of Marco Polo Marine, stated: "Securing a multi-year framework agreement for CSOVs before vessel delivery is a recognition of our next-generation CSOV Plus and PKR Offshore's track record in supporting offshore wind projects in Taiwan."
Radoslaw Rams, Head of Offshore Project Management for Siemens Gamesa in the Asia-Pacific region, said: "The agreement with PKR Offshore enhances our execution capabilities in Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region."
This agreement reflects the deepening partnership between PKR Offshore and Siemens Gamesa. As one of the early operators in Taiwan's offshore wind sector, PKR Offshore has gained a clear fleet deployment plan through this agreement.
