en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ionic Order has been approved on the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Precast Concrete Manufacturer Approved List, becoming the first operator in New York City's five boroughs to obtain this qualification. The certification covers six precast production groups, enabling the company to provide standard or custom components and structures for institutional projects. This milestone comes just nine months after the launch of its municipal precast production initiative at the Brooklyn Marine Terminal.
Ryan Camberdella, Sales Director, noted that the NYSDOT certification allows general contractors to immediately use fully compliant road and municipal infrastructure products. He stated that the combination of rigorous quality control with localized production and delivery helps public works projects be completed faster and with fewer supply disruptions. Traditionally, precast components had to be trucked into New York City, leading to high transportation costs and logistical delays.
Operating at the Red Hook Container Terminal in Brooklyn, Ionic Order strengthens the traditional heavy/civil construction supply chain by leveraging the "Blue Highways" maritime freight network of New York Harbor. The company transports aggregates and finished structural products by barge, combined with local short-haul trucks, achieving cost-effective high-volume logistics while reducing road wear and lowering carbon emissions from regional transportation sectors. To meet recent regional infrastructure needs, Ionic Order currently maintains an active inventory of NYSDOT-approved 10-foot and 20-foot Jersey-type temporary road barriers, available for delivery to the metropolitan area, New York State, and surrounding regions.
Alexios Shaw, Co-Managing Director, stated that launching operations and achieving this milestone in just nine months gives the company the opportunity to build a new factory for future urban infrastructure. He noted that the waterfront location enables the company to load barges directly from the factory, allowing regional supply lines to achieve faster, more cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable operations. Meanwhile, the company is expanding a dedicated marine products division to serve the terminal and port construction, coastal resilience, and renewable energy sectors, offering products such as filter unit rock bags, coastal resilience units, and custom marine precast components, aimed at protecting vulnerable waterfront infrastructure.
