en.Wedoany.com Reported - Abra Group, a Latin American aviation holding company, has selected CFM International's Leap-1A engines to power its 50 Airbus A320neo family aircraft.

The deal, announced on July 21, also includes a comprehensive service package covering spare engines for both the Leap-1A and Leap-1B, with the latter being the sole power option for the Boeing 737 Max family. The order for 50 A320neo aircraft is part of a larger total order of 134 Airbus narrowbody aircraft. Abra Group's portfolio includes airlines such as Avianca, Gol, and Wamos Air.
Adrian Neuhauser, CEO of Abra Group, stated that the engine order supports the group's strategy of building a strong, efficient, and competitive aviation platform in Latin America.
Additionally, CFM International has secured orders for the Leap engine family from multiple lessors. CALC has selected the Leap-1A to power its order of 20 A320neo and A321neo aircraft, further expanding its existing fleet of 51 A320neo family aircraft powered by CFM.
San Francisco-based BBAM has signed an order for 30 Leap-1A and Leap-1B spare engines, covering the A320neo and Boeing 737 Max aircraft types, respectively.
