en.Wedoany.com Reported - China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., through its subsidiary China Energy Engineering Group Jiangsu Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., has won the bidding for the survey and design project of the Huaneng Jiangsu Company Qingneng Branch Guanyun 400 MW Offshore Photovoltaic Project. Located in the G1 offshore area near Guanyun County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, this project is one of the first batch of "wind-solar co-location" offshore photovoltaic pilot projects approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The project plans to construct a 400 MW offshore photovoltaic power station, which will be connected to the regional power grid under a full-grid-connection model.
Upon completion, the project will effectively optimize the regional energy supply structure, reduce carbon emissions, support the implementation of Jiangsu's "dual carbon" strategy, provide a practical model for large-scale development of marine new energy in coastal areas, and drive the development of upstream and downstream industries, offering ecological benefits, economic returns, and industrial demonstration value.
"Wind-solar co-location" is an energy utilization model that coordinates the layout and integrated development of offshore wind power and offshore photovoltaic systems within the same sea area. This model achieves synergistic development of wind and solar power through three-dimensional spatial rights allocation for sea area use, increasing energy output per unit area. It also fully leverages the complementary nature of wind and solar energy, enabling integrated innovation in power generation and marine engineering, thereby enhancing the stability and efficiency of energy supply.
