(CPChem), based in The Woodlands, Texas, has completed a significant expansion of its low-viscosity polyalphaolefins (LV PAO) production facility in Beringen, Belgium. This upgrade enhances the company’s manufacturing capabilities in Europe to meet growing global demand for specialty chemicals.

The expansion has doubled the Beringen facility’s LV PAO production capacity to 120,000 metric tons per year, making it the largest decene-based LV PAO plant in Europe by volume. LV PAOs are critical components in various applications, including lubricants for automotive and industrial uses, as well as advanced technologies like electric vehicles, wind turbines, and immersion cooling systems.

The upgraded facility incorporates advanced electrification technologies to reduce natural gas consumption, lowering emissions and improving energy efficiency.
