Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 26, Nippon Sanso Holdings Corp. (NSHD) announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., based in Irving, Texas, will construct and operate a new air separation plant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the facility will bolster Matheson’s nationwide network of air separation plants, with a focus on serving the expanding U.S. Sunbelt region.
The Las Vegas plant will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon to meet rising demand for liquid gases in industries such as medical, fabrication, construction, and food processing across Nevada, California, Utah, and Arizona. This strategic addition enhances NSHD’s ability to supply packaged gases, specialty gases, nitrous oxide, dry ice, helium, and HyCO (hydrogen and carbon monoxide) to a diverse range of customers.
By establishing this facility, Matheson aims to strengthen its supply chain and improve service reliability in the western U.S. The plant’s location in Las Vegas positions it to efficiently address the growing industrial and commercial needs of the Sunbelt, a region experiencing significant economic and population growth. The new facility will complement NSHD’s existing infrastructure, ensuring a steady and localized supply of critical gases.
A representative from NSHD stated: “The addition of this new plant will further enhance Nippon Sanso’s U.S. capabilities in packaged gases, specialty gases, nitrous oxide, dry ice, helium and HyCO supply.” The project reflects NSHD’s commitment to meeting market demands through targeted investments in production capacity and regional expansion.
The Las Vegas plant is expected to streamline logistics and reduce transportation costs, contributing to operational efficiency and sustainability. By producing gases closer to key markets, NSHD aims to minimize delivery times and enhance customer support for industries reliant on high-quality gas products. The facility will also create opportunities for local employment and economic development in the Las Vegas area.
This initiative aligns with NSHD’s broader strategy to expand its global footprint while addressing regional needs. The company’s focus on strengthening its U.S. operations through Matheson Tri-Gas underscores its dedication to delivering innovative and reliable solutions to meet evolving industry requirements.
