Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 27, China’s Sinopec announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power to deliver engineering services for a significant green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Yanbu city, Saudi Arabia. This initiative is set to become the world’s largest integrated facility of its kind, leveraging renewable energy sources to produce substantial clean energy outputs.

The project is designed to generate 400,000 metric tons of green hydrogen and 2.8 million tons of green ammonia annually, powered by wind and solar energy. Commercial operations for the facility are expected to commence in 2030, marking a key milestone in sustainable energy development.

Sinopec Engineering Group, a subsidiary of Sinopec, will oversee critical aspects of the project. The group is tasked with conducting the front-end engineering design and managing the convertible engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
