Wedoany.com Report-Sept. 28, On September 26, the steel structure of the GIS building at the 115-kilovolt Bangramon Substation in Chonburi Province, Thailand, constructed by China Hydropower 15th Bureau, was successfully completed with the placement of the final steel beam. This milestone marks the topping out of all main buildings in the project, signifying a key achievement in its construction timeline.

The project team overcame challenges such as complex cross-border logistics, tight schedules, and frequent rainy seasons. Adhering to a “safety first, quality supreme” approach, they meticulously planned and executed construction tasks. During the steel structure installation, the team managed a maximum hoisting height of 22 meters, a span of 13 meters, and components weighing up to 3.97 tons, ensuring compliance with technical specifications. Their rigorous standards, technical expertise, and high-quality service earned consistent praise from the project owner, reinforcing the company’s reputation in international engineering.

The Bangramon Substation project, with a 24-month construction period, involves dismantling the existing 115-kilovolt AIS substation and building a new 115-kilovolt GIS substation and a 22-kilovolt substation. It includes equipment procurement and installation, foundations, and cable trenches. Upon completion, the substation will enhance power reliability for local tourism development and strengthen grid stability in central and eastern Thailand, contributing significantly to the region’s economic and social growth.
