Wedoany.com Report-Dec.22, A new direct passenger flight route connecting Changsha, the capital of central China's Hunan Province, to Jakarta, Indonesia, is scheduled to begin operations on December 22, 2025. The Hunan Airport Management Group announced this development on December 18, 2025.
The service will provide round-trip flights once a week, with each flight lasting approximately five and a half hours. This route aims to improve air connectivity between the two cities.
Indonesia holds the position of the largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and enjoys robust economic, trade, and cultural relations with Hunan Province. The new connection is expected to promote greater cooperation for enterprises in Hunan and offer convenient travel alternatives for passengers visiting Jakarta and its vicinity.
Additionally, Changsha Huanghua International Airport intends to open another direct route to Bali, a well-known resort destination in Indonesia, during the 2026 Spring Festival travel season. This planned service will expand the range of international flight options available from the airport.
These initiatives contribute to the ongoing expansion of aviation networks, supporting increased exchanges in business, tourism, and cultural fields between the regions.
