Ashoka Buildcon Wins ₹3.08 Billion Bridge Contract to Connect Two Coastal Roads

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd has received the Letter of Acceptance from the 1st Engineering Division of the Public Works Department, Daman, for the construction of a signature bridge connecting the Jampore Coastal Road near Daman Lighthouse and the Devka Coastal Road at Daman Parkota Sheri.

The project has been awarded for a bid value of ₹3.08 billion (excluding GST). The contract, awarded by a domestic entity, follows a Design, Build, and Operate model, with the company required to complete the design and construction work within 30 months. Ashoka Buildcon confirmed that the project does not involve any related party transactions, and the promoters or promoter group have no interest in the entity awarding the contract.

In December last year, the company also secured an additional work order worth ₹4.47 billion (inclusive of tax) from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation for its ongoing elevated corridor project on the Sion-Panvel Highway. The additional scope includes the construction of Bridge Arm 1 and Bridge Arm 2 of the elevated corridor at the T-junction in Maharashtra Nagar, M/E Ward. This contract was awarded by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation on a percentage rate basis.

Shares of Ashoka Buildcon Ltd closed at ₹145.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up by ₹3.45 or 2.43%, reflecting investor response to the company's expanding infrastructure portfolio.
