On February 24th, the latest data released by SMM shows that domestic #1 refined nickel prices are trending upward. Specifically, the SMM #1 refined nickel price range is 137,300-147,700 yuan/ton, with an average price reaching 142,500 yuan/ton, an increase of 2,400 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. This change in refined nickel prices reflects adjustments in market supply and demand, indicating a positive short-term trend.
At the same time, the spot premium/discount quotations for Jinchuan #1 refined nickel have also risen. The mainstream quotation range is 8,300-9,500 yuan/ton, with an average premium of 8,900 yuan/ton, a slight increase of 50 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. As a major domestic brand, the rise in Jinchuan nickel's spot premium may be driven by the overall increase in refined nickel prices, with market trading activity showing some improvement.
Furthermore, the spot premium/discount quotation range for mainstream domestic brands of electrodeposited nickel is -400 to 400 yuan/ton. This data indicates that the electrodeposited nickel market is relatively stable, contrasting with the movements in refined nickel prices and Jinchuan nickel premiums. Overall, the upward trend in refined nickel prices and the slight adjustment in Jinchuan nickel premiums together paint a dynamic picture of the current nickel market, providing a reference basis for related industries.
