Waste solutions provider EWS Resources (RBEWS) and systems engineering firm Entro Industries have jointly unveiled the HSS L65T dump truck, a 65-ton landfill dump truck specifically designed for the waste handling and recycling industry, aimed at enhancing operational safety and efficiency.

The HSS L65T landfill dump truck is suitable for high-demand environments such as landfills, material recovery facilities, transfer stations, and composting plants, where stringent requirements for equipment safety, uptime, and operational efficiency exist. It is a true 65-ton machine, not a modified unit based on a 50-ton chassis, designed to meet modern operational standards.

Design features of the HSS L65T landfill dump truck include: a proven lock-and-pin-out front leg structure; a cab positioned 55.5 feet ahead of the tailgate; box-beam construction ensuring long-term durability; enhanced machine stiffness and safety components; an insulated cab with a reinforced base; reduced hydraulic connection points for improved reliability; centralized controls within the cab; and a design life of 20 years or 2 million cycles (fatigue engineered).

Sean R. Smith, President of Entro, stated, "This is not just a rebadged 50-ton machine—it is specifically designed for real-world North American operations. Every component is sourced from North American and European suppliers, ensuring long-term parts availability and service continuity. While addressing industry pain points, we have elevated the safety standards for the men and women who operate these machines daily."

Smith mentioned that he and his father, Harlan Smith, invested significant time in redesigning the landfill dump truck to tackle long-standing market challenges. Development began in early 2025, based on 15 years of market research, on-site inspections, commissioning of existing equipment, and direct feedback from operators, managers, and safety directors.

Scott Haines, Vice President of RBEWS, said, "I work with operators almost daily, and they frequently encounter equipment issues. Often, they cannot quickly obtain critical components or even get a callback. Operators and directors are excited to see a new machine that genuinely addresses their concerns about long-term reliability, especially given the challenges our industry faces with existing platforms."

The HSS L65T landfill dump truck offers various configuration options, such as hydraulic handrails and front legs, an HVAC system with advanced filtration, different platform lengths, customizable safety and operational features, pushcarts, and other development choices. RBEWS will provide comprehensive sales, service, inspection, and lifecycle support across North America, backed by enhanced support through LMR Dump Truck Services.
