Wind Power Grid Connection
Wind Power Grid Connection refers to the process of connecting electricity generated by wind farms to the power system through collection lines, substations, transformers, protection and control systems, and transmission networks. Because wind power is variable and intermittent, grid connection requires solutions for voltage stability, frequency response, reactive power compensation, power forecasting, low-voltage ride-through, harmonic control, and grid dispatch coordination. As the share of renewable energy increases, wind power grid integration is shifting from simple connection engineering to system-level renewable energy accommodation. Energy storage, flexible transmission, intelligent dispatch, and source-grid-load-storage coordination are becoming essential to improving wind power grid compatibility.
