Cullet LLC announced the establishment of its regional operating entity, Cullet Ohio, in the state of Ohio. By acquiring the assets of the local glass recycling company Repeat Glass, it is building its first operational platform in the United States to advance the strategy of constructing a regional glass reuse and recycling system. The company holds a majority stake in Cullet Ohio.Cullet Ohio operational platform announcement

Repeat Glass founder Jamie Arnold will inject significant equity into the new entity and join Cullet as Vice President of Business Development, based in the Cleveland-Akron metropolitan area. Cullet founder and CEO Gregory Leibert continues to lead the company's strategic vision, capital formation, expansion, and educational initiatives.

In the United States, less than one-third of glass is recycled, with most entering single-stream systems where it becomes broken and contaminated, rendering it unusable for new container production. Cullet's model works with restaurants, bars, wineries, breweries, distilleries, music venues, and event spaces to separate glass at the source, ensuring on-site processing and reducing contamination.

Cullet Ohio will focus on local processing and long-term value retention in Northeast Ohio. By expanding source-separated glass collection and strengthening partnerships with communities and the hospitality sector, it aims to produce manufacturing-grade cullet suitable for container-to-container recycling. This move is designed to strengthen regional supply chains, reduce long-distance glass transportation, and retain economic value within communities.

"Source separation and regional infrastructure are foundational to rebuilding the U.S. glass economy as a circular system," said Leibert. "We are not just collecting glass; we are redesigning how it flows through communities to retain its highest value. Cullet Ohio represents the first step in building lasting, scalable platforms that reconnect local collection with manufacturing, and soon, reuse."

Arnold brings over a decade of entrepreneurial experience focused on building glass recycling businesses. Prior to Repeat Glass, he operated GlassBandit (now Crush Glass KC) in Kansas City, Missouri, for seven years, building an extensive partner network and designing commercial collection routes and community drop-off systems. Arnold will leave his position at Case Western Reserve University to focus on expanding commercial, residential, and municipal glass recycling systems.

"Glass waste holds tremendous value—we just need scalable systems to capture it," said Arnold. "This partnership allows us to scale operations while staying rooted in the human relationships and connections within our local communities."
