On March 3, the reactor pressure vessel for Unit 6 of the Lufeng Nuclear Power Plant, constructed by China Nuclear Industry 23 Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully hoisted and positioned, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation of the main coolant loop piping.

As the "heart" of a nuclear power unit, the reactor pressure vessel performs core functions such as containing nuclear fuel assemblies, sustaining the nuclear reaction, and controlling the reaction process. To ensure the safe and efficient execution of this hoisting task, the Lufeng Nuclear Power Project Department attached great importance to the operation, making coordinated arrangements. In collaboration with the Nuclear Reactor Company, they conducted advance sand table simulations, visual technical briefings, and risk pre-control measures. Strict quality control was implemented throughout the entire process from introduction to final positioning. During the operation, on-site command was precise and efficient, with seamless coordination between work steps and thorough implementation of monitoring methods. The equipment was ultimately lowered smoothly into place with precision meeting the standards, achieving comprehensive control over safety, quality, and schedule. The task of introducing and positioning the pressure vessel was successfully completed.
