According to Taihan, the "Skandi Connector" has a maximum loading capacity of 7,000 tons of submarine cable and has previously participated in 27 projects across multiple markets, including Europe, laying a cumulative total of approximately 1,300 kilometers of cable. The vessel is equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system, as well as advanced equipment such as large turntables and tensioners for export cable and HVDC installation.

This acquisition will enhance the company's ability to handle inter-array cable and export cable installation in offshore wind development, while also supporting its expansion into cross-border grid projects.
