en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aberdeen-headquartered Unity has been awarded new offshore contracts worth over £6 million, including a multi-million-pound North Sea well decommissioning project. The company is expanding its well integrity and international operations, with the contract involving the delivery of a full plug and abandonment (P&A) scope for a global operator in the North Sea, where inspection work is already underway.

Other recently awarded contracts include three contract extensions, two master service agreements with oilfield service companies, and a 15-well thru-tubing campaign involving offshore well intervention activities. Unity stated that these contracts build upon its recent investment in well intervention and well integrity technology portfolios, enabling operators to access integrated services through a single supplier.

Unity CEO Gary Smart said this marks a significant step forward and a scaling phase for the company, which has made substantial investments in its technology portfolio to ensure it can provide operators with well integrity assurance from production through to abandonment. The company reported that over its three decades of offshore operations, it has maintained over 1,000 wells and completed more than 300 well abandonment operations.

Unity is also accelerating its international growth efforts, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. The company recently established a presence in Perth, Australia, following the relocation of Aberdeen-based Stuart Slater to Australia to lead Unity's APAC expansion strategy. According to the company, Unity has already secured initial offshore projects supporting mature assets in Australia and Malaysia. It plans to add 17 employees this year to support growing activity in the offshore well integrity, intervention, and decommissioning market. Unity operates as part of the FrontRow Energy Technology Group and has offices in Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth, Esbjerg, Houston, and Perth.
