en.Wedoany.com Reported - Shinsegae I&C has partnered with the College of Engineering at Seoul National University to launch a next-generation IT leadership training program for the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The program aims to strengthen corporate competitiveness in the wave of AI transformation (AX) through comprehensive training that integrates AI understanding, project management, and business execution capabilities.
Shinsegae I&C announced on the 15th that it officially signed a business agreement (MOU) on AI leadership training and industry-academia cooperation with Seoul National University on the 12th. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both sides, including Shinsegae I&C CEO Yang Yoon-ji and Seoul National University College of Engineering Dean Kim Young-oh.
Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly plan and operate a leadership training program based on the Engineering Project Management (EPM) course at Seoul National University's College of Engineering. The EPM course is an open program for corporate employees and external experts, designed to cultivate management and leadership capabilities grounded in engineering projects.

Shinsegae I&C has integrated AI and new technology applications, real project cases, and organizational leadership into this course, developing a customized training program tailored to the IT business environment of the AI era. The program aims to enhance technical understanding and strengthen the ability to solve complex problems and execute tasks in actual business settings.
The training course lasts a total of 14 weeks, covering three major areas: leadership, AI and new technologies, and IT project management. The content will be rolled out in phases, including improving planning and change management capabilities, understanding AI technology and analyzing industry application cases, and strengthening project manager (PM) competencies.
A distinctive feature of the program is the inclusion of AI project planning workshops based on job roles, as well as training grounded in real business cases to enhance practical applicability. The training is scheduled to run from this month through September, and participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion issued under the name of the Seoul National University President and an Engineering Project Manager certification.
This course is a re-customization of the original EPM program to fit Shinsegae I&C's business environment. The company plans to systematically cultivate leaders with an understanding of AI and IT projects, ensuring they possess both technical capabilities and business insight in the AX era.
Seoul National University College of Engineering Dean Kim Young-oh stated that signing the first MOU with Shinsegae I&C for the College of Engineering's EPM course holds significant meaning, and he expects to contribute to nurturing next-generation leaders for Shinsegae I&C, which leads the IT industry, based on the values of excellence and convergence pursued by the College of Engineering. Shinsegae I&C CEO Yang Yoon-ji emphasized that this program is a mechanism for systematically cultivating next-generation leaders, and the company will continue to operate training programs based on Seoul National University's EPM course and its own field experience to strengthen future IT leadership capabilities.
