According to a press release issued by Wilo Group on June 12, the agreement was signed by Wilo CEO Oliver Hermes and DP World's Global Chief Operating Officer for Parks & Economic Zones, Abdulla Al Hashmi, at Wilopark in Dortmund, witnessed by Abdulla Al Khater, Head of Economic Affairs at the UAE Embassy in Berlin.

This initiative aims to further expand the strategic partnership between the two parties, with the goal of driving sustainable infrastructure, smart logistics solutions, and AI-based water innovation on a global scale. The partnership builds on Wilo's long-standing business presence in the region, including its Green Fab in Dubai. This factory was established approximately 20 years ago within the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), operated by DP World, and was just expanded last year.

"Wilo's engineering and technical expertise, combined with DP World's integrated logistics ecosystem, enables smarter industrial processes, enhances the resilience of global supply chains, and opens up new opportunities for manufacturers and customers in the UAE, Germany, and other international markets," said Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer of DP World Parks & Economic Zones. "Furthermore, it creates a platform for knowledge exchange and talent development, both of which are crucial for the next phase of industrial growth."

"We are bringing Wilo's expertise in water technology closer together with DP World's capabilities in infrastructure and logistics," said Oliver Hermes, President and Global CEO of Wilo Group, upon signing the agreement. "With the transformative power of artificial intelligence, we can implement joint projects that generate a sustainable global impact in the water sector, the logistics industry, and beyond."
