en.Wedoany.com Reported - The enclosed coal yard EPC project at National Energy Group's Jiangxi Golden Port Power Generation Company has completed the joint commissioning of supporting systems, officially putting into operation the largest-span prestressed pipe truss coal storage shed in Jiangxi Province.

The coal storage shed covers a total area of 68,000 square meters, with a shed body length of 340 meters and a single span of 200 meters. During construction, the project team had to tackle multiple challenges, including high-altitude truss assembly, ultra-hazardous large-scale engineering operations, and continuous construction during the rainy season. The project department strictly adhered to management specifications for ultra-hazardous large-scale engineering, utilizing BIM full-process simulation and segmented assembly techniques to smoothly synchronously slide the 2,400-ton giant pipe truss into its designed position. Meanwhile, a grid-based safety and quality management system was implemented on site, with high-standard acceptance checks conducted at every stage—from raw material delivery and construction procedures to steel structure anti-corrosion—ensuring the project was completed on schedule with high quality.

After the coal yard was put into use, it fundamentally eliminated environmental hazards such as dust dispersion from open-air coal storage and coal water overflow during rainy days. It also reduced coal losses caused by wind and rain, improved the coal feeding conditions for units, enhanced the stability of coal blending and combustion in boilers, and achieved a synergistic improvement in safety production, ecological environmental protection, and operational efficiency.
