en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has commenced construction of a 10,000-acre greenfield urban center in Hathras as part of the Master Plan 2041. The project is planned as a major manufacturing and logistics hub connected to the Noida International Airport (in Jewar), covering nearly 4,000 hectares across 50 villages in Hathras and Sasni tehsils, and is positioned as a mixed-use industrial and residential satellite town. This urban center is one of four major city nodes alongside Aligarh, Mathura, and Agra.

RV Engineering Consultants Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed to prepare the master plan using GIS-based mapping techniques. The layout includes dedicated industrial zones, residential areas, commercial logistics zones, and extensive green spaces. Over 15% of the planned area is reserved for green belts and open spaces to maintain ecological balance and support sustainable urbanization. Infrastructure design prioritizes connectivity and utility corridors to serve manufacturing clusters and residential communities.

Located within the catchment area of the Noida International Airport, coupled with transport links via the Yamuna Expressway and other national highways, the city is expected to attract manufacturing and logistics investors, while also serving as a satellite town for Agra to alleviate industrial pressure on that city. The project aims to leverage Hathras's existing industrial base of over 10,000 registered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Industries supported under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, including asafoetida powder and gulal manufacturers, are expected to benefit from export-oriented infrastructure and upgraded packaging facilities.

The master plan proposes dedicated industrial clusters covering sectors such as food processing, dairy products, knitwear, glass beads, brass jewelry, machine tools, and electric vehicle components. Later phases will target advanced manufacturing, including medical devices and power grid machinery. Detailed project reports and land acquisition processes have been initiated. The project is expected to generate significant direct and indirect employment and position Hathras as a new industrial growth center in western Uttar Pradesh. During a visit to Hathras, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 143 development projects worth over INR 54.8 billion.
