en.Wedoany.com Reported - SLB OneSubsea (a joint venture supported by SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7) has signed a multi-well engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Eni for the third phase development of the deepwater Baleine project off the coast of Côte d'Ivoire.

Under the contract, SLB OneSubsea will deliver a complete subsea production system (SPS) for 13 wells in the third phase of the Baleine project. Building on the developed phases, the third phase will increase the field's total production from 60,000 barrels per day to 150,000 barrels per day, and natural gas production from 80 million cubic feet per day to 200 million cubic feet per day, making it one of the largest offshore energy development projects in West Africa.

The EPC scope covers subsea trees, umbilicals, manifolds, multiphase flow meters, and control systems, as well as installation, commissioning, and full lifecycle support. SLB stated that this integrated delivery model aims to streamline execution processes and support the project's fast-track development plan, with project execution leveraging the company's local presence and in-country capabilities.

Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea, said that the third phase of Baleine combines scale with execution certainty. Through subsea production system technology and an established local footprint, the company is supporting Eni in efficiently advancing this complex deepwater project while contributing to the long-term development of Côte d'Ivoire's offshore resources.

The final investment decision (FID) for the third phase of Baleine was made in May. The project involves the construction of a new floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, to be delivered by Altera Infrastructure. TechnipFMC has been selected to design and manufacture flexible flowlines and risers for this phase. Additionally, OneSubsea recently secured one of what is reportedly the largest umbilical contracts ever awarded in the industry, for an oil field development project in Indonesian waters.
