en.Wedoany.com Reported - The National Railway Administration recently released three batches of railway industry technical standards, represented by "Fire Protection for Rolling Stock" and "Hydrogen Fuel Cells for Railway Rolling Stock," aiming to ensure railway operational safety and improve the quality of equipment products. These standards cover multiple areas, including rolling stock safety, communication signals, dispatching systems, safety warning equipment, and track maintenance management.

The "Fire Protection for Rolling Stock" series of standards covers the entire process from materials and components to structural systems, encompassing design, manufacturing, and fire prevention and control, establishing a comprehensive fire safety system. This provides systematic technical support for the fire safety of China's railway equipment. The series is divided into six parts, specifying general requirements, as well as specific technical indicators for fire performance of materials and components, structural fire resistance, fire protection design, fire protection of electrical equipment, and fire management. After implementation, these standards will help enhance the overall fire prevention and control capabilities of China's railway rolling stock, ensuring passenger safety and property security as well as railway operational order.

The "Hydrogen Fuel Cells for Railway Rolling Stock" series of standards fills the gap in China's standards for hydrogen energy applications in railways, providing a technical framework for promoting the clean and efficient development of railway energy and power systems. This series includes two parts, specifying technical details for hydrogen fuel cell systems in terms of energy utilization and energy storage. The release and implementation of these standards hold practical significance for promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of railway equipment and ensuring the safe operation of the systems.

The remaining 10 standards set technical requirements for components such as bogie assemblies for EMUs, train control onboard equipment (CTCS-2, CTCS-3 Type I and Type II), railway station computer interlocking, train dispatching command systems, track circuit compensation capacitors, and train approach warning ground equipment. Additionally, 13 standard amendment sheets revise key technical content for equipment including automatic couplers and draft gears for rolling stock, railway signal boxes, electro-hydraulic switch machines, concrete switch plates for ballastless track on high-speed railways, and rail expansion joints for passenger dedicated lines. These standards and amendment sheets provide a unified technical basis for the design, manufacturing, inspection, testing, and operation and maintenance management of railway equipment, helping to advance the upgrade of railway technical equipment and the modernization of safety governance capabilities.

The released standards will take effect on January 1, 2027, while the amendment sheets will come into force on June 30, 2026. The public can log in to the homepage of the National Railway Administration's government website and consult the "Standards and Specifications" section for relevant information.
