Wedoany.com Report-Jun 11, On June 9, Zeekr, the premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Geely Automobile, officially launched its global energy strategy, with Hong Kong selected as the first location outside the Chinese Mainland to roll out its NEV charging map.

Zeekr Power, the company’s energy service division, has partnered with E-Charge (HK) to integrate over 170 charging stations and more than 2,300 charging terminals across key commercial areas in Hong Kong. This step marks a significant milestone in the brand’s international charging network expansion.

The initiative aligns with a previous announcement made on January 7 by Guan Haitao, Chief Marketing Officer of Zeekr Intelligent Technology. At the time, Guan stated that Zeekr Power would begin deploying 800V ultra-fast charging infrastructure in global markets, pending local regulatory approvals. The goal is to build 1,000 self-operated charging stalls in collaboration with regional commercial partners by 2025. The planned rollout includes Thailand, Singapore, Mexico, the UAE, Hong Kong of China, Australia, Brazil, and Malaysia.

Zeekr views the launch in Hong Kong as a strategic move, laying the groundwork for broader international deployment. The company has already commenced infrastructure initiatives in Australia and Southeast Asia, aiming to establish a global charging ecosystem.

In 2024, Zeekr Power significantly accelerated its energy service offerings. Alongside expanding its proprietary infrastructure, it has formed several strategic partnerships to enhance charging accessibility for its users.

In May 2025, Zeekr entered into a reciprocal charging agreement with NIO Power. This partnership enables users of NIO, ONVO, and FIREFLY vehicles to locate and utilize Zeekr Power stations through mobile applications and in-car navigation systems, improving interoperability between brands.

Also in May, Zeekr Power collaborated with Shell to integrate 666 Shell charging stations and more than 12,000 premium charging terminals into its network. By that time, Zeekr Power had already incorporated over 1.29 million third-party charging terminals across China, achieving full coverage in all prefecture-level cities. This includes access to 5,025 highway service areas and 7,448 ultra-fast charging stations, each offering a peak output of at least 360kW per connector.

With the Hong Kong launch, Zeekr continues to strengthen its presence in the global NEV energy infrastructure sector. The company aims to support the growing demand for reliable, high-performance charging solutions and further enhance the international appeal of its vehicles and services.
