Five bids received for Raos 2 bulk cargo storage project at Port of Santander, Spain

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Port Authority of Santander, Spain, has confirmed that five bids were received for the optimization project of bulk cargo storage at the Raos 2 terminal. The project is now in the phase of administrative review of bid documents and evaluation of proposals, with a contract award recommendation to follow. The contract has not yet been awarded, and the names of the five bidding companies have not been disclosed.

The project has a tender budget of €3.3915 million (including VAT) and a planned construction period of 6 months. The scope of work includes the construction of three temporary bulk cargo storage zones, a new 165-meter-long reinforced concrete main wall, along with transverse partition walls and end closure structures to segregate different bulk cargo storage areas.

The works are located between the existing vertical soda ash silos and the ship loading conveyor belt at the Raos 2 terminal, and will be used for temporary storage of imported and exported solid bulk cargo. The scope also includes associated demolition, pavement restoration, drainage, and supporting port infrastructure works.

The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Santander approved the project investment on June 26, launched the public tender at the end of July, and completed the bidding phase in August. Following the receipt of these five bids, the project has transitioned from the tendering phase to the bid evaluation phase.
