Wedoany.com Report-Jan.1, Baker Hughes, a leading energy technology company headquartered in the United States, has secured a major multi-year contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). The agreement was announced on December 17, 2025, from Houston and London.

Under this assignment, Baker Hughes will supply advanced artificial lift systems, including its portfolio of electrical submersible pumps (ESPs), along with installation, surveillance, and maintenance services. The solutions aim to enhance production from KOC's oil and gas fields in Kuwait.

To further optimize performance, the ESP operations will integrate the FusionPro intelligent production drive and the Leucipa automated field production solution. This combination is designed to improve operational reliability and minimize nonproductive time.

The contract builds on a previous award received in the third quarter of 2025, under which Baker Hughes provides advanced wireline and perforation technologies, including Proxima advanced logging services. These tools support better reservoir evaluation, production optimization, and improved recovery rates.

Amerino Gatti, Executive Vice President of Oilfield Services & Equipment at Baker Hughes, stated: “Technology is unlocking new value from established fields around the world, and Baker Hughes and KOC have been at the forefront of these advancements. Our industry-leading artificial lift systems have proven themselves in Kuwait’s oilfields for nearly two decades and established a reputation for reliability and efficiency.”

Baker Hughes maintains a long-standing presence in Kuwait's energy sector. The company operates a 25,000-square-meter workshop dedicated to equipment testing and failure analysis for artificial lift systems.

Earlier in 2025, Baker Hughes signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a research and development center in the country’s Ahmadi Innovation Valley. This facility will focus on addressing upstream technology challenges and developing local expertise.

The partnership reflects ongoing collaboration to apply innovative technologies in mature fields, contributing to efficient resource utilization in Kuwait.

In addition to this recent agreement, Baker Hughes has pursued other projects, such as a partnership with Technip Energies for a liquefied natural gas development in Louisiana.

This Kuwait contract reinforces Baker Hughes' commitment to delivering reliable, advanced solutions that support stable energy production in the region.
