en.Weodoany.com Report, On March 26, Gao Bo, Vice Chairman and President of Chifeng Gold, disclosed the progress of the Laos Sepon Nouveau (SND) project at a performance briefing. Currently, the exploration of the ore body in this project is not yet closed, exploration work is still ongoing, and the selection plant, tailings pond, and waste dump have entered the site selection phase.

The SND gold-copper mine project is located in Sepon County, Savannakhet Province, Laos, and is a porphyry-type gold-copper deposit. As of June 30, 2025, the project has a total ore reserve of 131.5 million tons, of which 93.7 million tons are classified as "indicated" resources and 37.8 million tons as "inferred" resources. The ore grade is 0.81 grams per ton of gold equivalent, corresponding to a metal content of approximately 106.9 tons of gold equivalent.

The project is operated by a majority-owned subsidiary of Chifeng Gold. As one of the company's key overseas development projects, the subsequent resource expansion and construction progress of SND will further solidify the company's gold resource layout in Southeast Asia.
