The press office of the System Operator of the Unified Energy System (SO UES) stated that this will help increase the production capacity of gold mining enterprises.

New Murtukty substation to boost gold mining in Bashkiria

To implement this project, the power grid infrastructure was expanded, with new branch lines built for the 110 kV Iremel-Orlovka (Иремель – Орловка) and 110 kV Iremel-Polyakovka (Иремель – Поляковка) overhead lines. Two power transformers, each with a capacity of 6.3 MVA, were installed at the substation. Currently, the maximum technical grid connection capacity available for enterprises to apply for is 6.15 MW.

Oleg Pustovalov (Олег Пустовалов), Director of the Bashkir Dispatch Office (Башкирское РДУ), stated that this creates conditions for increasing gold production. Experts from the Bashkir Dispatch Office participated in the design of the substation, including determining the external power supply scheme, coordinating relevant documents, calculating relay protection and automation device settings, and studying operating conditions for connecting new equipment to the grid.

The implementation of this project opens up prospects for expanding the scale of the gold mining industry in the Republic of Bashkortostan and enhancing the region's economic potential.
