Hyundai Motor Group held a launch event in Europe this week, officially introducing the Kia EV2, the Hyundai STARIA electric van, and several electric models including the Kia EV3 GT, EV4 Hatchback GT, and EV5 GT.
The GT series models launched by Kia all feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and are specifically tuned for sporty performance. The company stated: "Each model combines dual-motor AWD, GT-specific chassis tuning, and electronically controlled suspension, complemented by immersive digital features such as virtual gear shifting and active sound design." Among them, the EV5 GT is also equipped with an electronically controlled suspension with road preview functionality.
The electric models announced are planned to enter production in the second half of 2026, with specific technical parameters and configuration details to be released gradually in subsequent phases. The launch of these new models reflects Hyundai and Kia's product strategy in the direction of electrification and sportiness, aiming to meet the European market's demand for diverse electric vehicles.
