en.Wedoany.com Reported - JSTI Group Co., Ltd. ("JSTI") has signed a contract for an urban infrastructure project with JSC "Tashkent Invest Company" in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with a total contract amount tentatively set at 2.3 billion yuan. JSTI announced this on July 7.

The project covers the design, construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of roads and roadside infrastructure in Tashkent, adopting the EPC+F (Engineering-Procurement-Construction + Financing) model. The contract price for the first phase sub-project is 280 million yuan, financed in yuan and insured by China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation. The entire project is divided into seven phases, with a total construction period of 5 years (i.e., 1,825 days) starting from the commencement date of the first phase; the defect notification period (warranty period) for each sub-project upon completion is 3 years (i.e., 1,095 days).

The contract signatories also include JSTI's controlled subsidiary, Jiangsu Yanning Engineering Technology Group Co., Ltd. Tashkent Invest Company is a wholly state-owned enterprise under the Tashkent city government, established specifically for the city's infrastructure projects, with project funds arranged through the municipal government budget and supported by government credit.

The signing of this contract not only helps JSTI secure a large-scale urban infrastructure project in the Central Asian market but also reflects that China's engineering consulting, design, construction, and financing capabilities are participating in urban renewal and transportation infrastructure construction along the Belt and Road Initiative in a more integrated manner.
