en.Wedoany.com Reported - Thunder Gold (TSX-V:TGOL) has completed drilling at its Tower Mountain property, located 40 kilometers west of Thunder Bay, Ontario, confirming the continuity of mineralization beneath the current pit shell and identifying new near-surface zones. The company completed six drill holes at the UV target, totaling 2,937 meters.

Three of the holes targeted the expected mineralization trend 100 to 150 meters below the base of the current optimized pit, while the remaining holes targeted gaps with insufficient drilling data in the 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). Key results include: Drill hole TM26-204 returned 1.793 grams per tonne gold over 45 meters, and this hole intersected 142 meters of 0.668 g/t gold mineralization within and adjacent to the 2026 MRE optimized pit boundary. This intercept has the potential to increase total inferred resources, as the 2026 MRE treated this area as waste due to a lack of drill coverage.

Other intercepts include: TM26-200 intersected 238.5 meters of 0.282 g/t gold from 361.5 to 600 meters depth; TM26-199 intersected 208.5 meters of 0.220 g/t gold from 390 to 598.5 meters depth. Drilling confirms that the main UV mineralization trend extends to depth and remains open, with grades and widths consistent with historical drilling and the 2026 MRE. Multiple new mineralized zones above the 2026 MRE cut-off grade (0.19 g/t gold) were intersected in areas previously modeled as waste, which is expected to reduce the current 1.8:1 waste-to-ore strip ratio.

CEO Wes Hanson stated that step-out drilling confirms the low-grade core of UV extends to depth and remains open, while shallow holes identified new near-surface mineralized zones in areas previously modeled as waste. TGOL is conducting exploration drilling on bench targets at the eastern edge of the optimized pit, and this phase of the project has concluded, focusing on areas not estimated within the 2026 MRE pit shell.

A resource definition drilling program is scheduled to begin on August 1, aiming to upgrade inferred resources to indicated resources. Thunder Gold expects to complete the program by September 30, with results anticipated in mid-October. The Tower Mountain property, located adjacent to the Trans-Canada Highway in Ontario, covers 7,625 hectares and hosts an initial mineral resource of 500,000 ounces indicated and 3 million ounces inferred. Thunder Gold is a Canadian gold exploration company that, in addition to its flagship Tower Mountain project, holds the Thunder Lake and Electra properties in the Shebandowan greenstone belt of Ontario.
