Wedoany.com Report on Mar 11th, China's independently developed T1200 grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber will make its global debut. This breakthrough fills a gap in the global related field, marking a significant leap for China in the production of ultra-high-strength carbon fiber.
The T1200 grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber unveiled this time was independently developed by China National Building Material Group. Notably, it is not a laboratory sample but an industrialized product already possessing hundred-ton-level mass production capability. This also makes China the first country in the world to achieve hundred-ton-level mass production of carbon fiber at this grade. Simply put, the diameter of T1200 carbon fiber is less than one-tenth of a human hair, yet its tensile strength is 10 times that of ordinary steel, while its density is only one-fourth that of steel, highlighting its characteristics of being lightweight and exceptionally tough. With these excellent properties, it can be widely applied in strategic emerging industries such as aerospace, low-altitude economy, humanoid robots, and more.
