en.Wedoany.com Reported - Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A. (PPSA) has completed the signing of production sharing contracts for the five winning blocks in the third permanent tender for production sharing. The signed contracts involve the Esmeralda, Ametista, Citrino, Itaimbezinho, and Jaspe blocks, with documents executed electronically by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), PPSA, and the winning companies.

With the formal signing of these contracts, the total number of production sharing contracts managed by PPSA has increased to 29. Of these 29 contracts, nine are in the production phase, 13 are in the exploration phase, and seven are in the process of being returned.
In the Santos Basin, the Esmeralda block was won by Karoon, and the Ametista block was won by a consortium composed of CNOOC (70% stake) and Sinopec (30% stake). In the Campos Basin, Equinor won the Itaimbezinho block, Petrobrás secured the Citrino block, and the Jaspe block was won by a consortium composed of Petrobrás (60% stake) and Equinor (40% stake).
The public session for the third permanent tender for production sharing was held in October last year. A total of five blocks were awarded in this tender round, all located in the pre-salt region, including Esmeralda and Ametista in the Santos Basin, and Citrino, Itaimbezinho, and Jaspe in the Campos Basin.
